Queensland, it is undeniably the best state in Australia for end-of-season team trips! With beaches, boats, beers and lets not forget that all important sunshine, we’ve got the locations, activities and parties to give your team the end-of-season send off it deserves. 

From footy teams (no matter your code – we don’t discriminate!) to netball teams and chess clubs (yes – we see you!) and every sporting code in between – we love the bond that forms between team mates during a sporting season and believe that comradery doesn’t have to end when you step off the field.

A season can be tough, filled with injuries, countless training sessions, long trips to away games, highs, lows and everything in between so when it comes to an end, whether you’ve won a premiership or collected the wooden spoon, for us, it’s all worth celebrating!

Kick off those muddy boots, throw the ankle strapping and deep heat in the bin and pack your bags – you’re off to a Queensland destination near you and it’s time to party in paradise!

Whitsundays Footy Trip

To help paint a picture, our most recent footy trip booked an all-inclusive package with us that had them sorted for a full weekend of fun in the Whitsundays sun. Their weekend itinerary was jam-packed and included…

• Accommodation
  • We arranged for them to stay right on the main street of Airlie Beach so they could access all of the nightlife, marinas, meals etc on foot – no waiting and messing around for enough maxi taxis to fit the whole team!
• Team Dinner & Poker Night
  • Their weekend kicked off with a Friday night team dinner (meals and beers included in their package) and some awards followed by a casino night – think poker and black jack in a private venue – bar tab, dealer etc all included!
• Private Sailing Charter
  • Next day, the team boarded a private sailing boat for the full day out on the water – they BYO’d their own drinks and cranked their own playlists to set their perfect mood for the day. A swim, island beach stop over and BBQ lunch – they were living the Whitsundays dream!
• Nightclubs
  • Back to land and a private VIP party lounge (spirits and waitress included) in Airlie’s premier nightclub to continue the party well in to Saturday night.
• Golf
  • Sunday was understandably off to a slower start but our party bus transferred the team to a local golf course for a leisurely round of 9 holes (ice cold beers on hand to get them through – hair of the dog style!) and burgers and chips for lunch before they called it a wrap on a wonderful weekend.

“Trying to organise the end of season footy trip was causing me an absolute headache before I found Alice at Wedfest. She was a life-saver!
